“A Perfect Day to Read” is a great place to start when it comes to reading for children, says author author.

By Michelle WilliamsThe National Geographic Society and the American Library Association are proud to announce that, in addition to offering a comprehensive guide to reading, The Book of Children is also offering a children’s book that teaches the joys of reading in its entirety.

The book, The Books of Children: Adventures in the Bookroom, is available in the spring and will feature over 300 illustrations that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

“Children have always been fascinated by books, and this book captures the excitement of reading for kids in a way that no book before it has,” said National Geographic Book of the Year and Book of Life founder Peter H. Jones.

“It is the perfect book to introduce kids to reading and how they can make it their own.”

The book, illustrated by National Geographic Books’ Matthew Fadiman, is published by Penguin Random House and is available for preorder at the end of April.

It will also be available through the National Geographic Education Center in May.

“The Book of Books of Adventures in Reading” is part of a growing series of books that are aimed at introducing kids to books in the way that we read them today.

It includes “The Art of Reading” (2013), a collection of essays by a dozen authors on reading; “The World’s Greatest Reading List” (2012), a guide to the world’s best reading lists; and “How to Read a Book in the Daytime” (2011), which has a guide for reading in the summer.

Each of the books will be available online through the NGEA Education Center and can be purchased for $7.99 each, or $5.99 for the Kindle edition.

“There is no better time to get started reading than at the beginning of the school year,” said Jones.

The National Geographic Learning Academy, a National Geographic children’s learning center, also will be publishing a book in May, with a selection of children’s books from around the world.

“As we move into the spring, the best way to prepare kids for reading is to read a book before school starts,” said Mary Jo McKean, NGEI President and CEO.

“With the Books of Books available, the next best thing to read is the book that you have already read.

This book will be an ideal gift for any young reader looking for the perfect read before bedtime.”

The Books of Kids are available in print and e-book for $3.99.
